Book Four: Chapter 97
Beth tensed up as a sudden, sharp, icy chill raced up the length of her spine, causing her hair to stand on end. It was as if someone had poured a pitcher of glacier water directly into her veins, and the sensation was so jarring that small, rhythmic convulsions began to run along her thighs. Her muscles spasmed in a way she had never experienced before; it wasn’t quite a full-blown orgasm, but it felt tantalizingly similar to the electric start of one, leaving her suspended on a knife’s edge of release.
“Ye be okay, lass?” Sulyvahn asked, his voice a low, gravelly rumble that seemed to vibrate from the very ground beneath them. He looked up at her with those dark, ancient eyes, his expression a mix of spectral curiosity and burgeoning hunger.
“Shh.” Beth couldn't find the breath for a full sentence. She placed her hand firmly over his mouth to silence his questions and let out a guttural grunt
