“Man, I wish I could see your face right now.” Callisto laughed, then wiped a tear from his eyes. “It wasn’t elephants, Dad. I’m just fucking with you.”
Though the joke had been funny, Mike made a mental note to avoid elephants in the future. Just in case.
Callisto drew another line on the wall, and then the daylight was sucked from the room as the spell was completed. Instead of the office, they now sat in darkness, the space lit by an elaborate series of spinning runes that occupied each direction.
