“You’re the one who booked the room. How would I know the room number? I’m not a mind reader,” Victor retorted.

Biting her lower lip, Estelle sighed and said slowly, “It’s Room 1231.”

“Got it. I’ll be right there,” Victor replied before hanging up.

“Miss, the elevator is here,” the bellhop reminded her.

“Okay,” Estelle said as she hurried into the elevator and pressed the button for the twelfth floor. When the elevator door opened on the twelfth floor, Estelle walked out, heading towards Room 1231 at the end of the corridor, with the bellhop following her.

After she had settled her luggage in the room, the bellhop politely bowed to her and left. It was only after the door closed that Estelle suddenly remembered she had forgotten to tip the bellhop.

The furnishings in Room 1231 were the same as they had been the last time she was here. However, no traces were left of her and Mr. Mysterious ever staying there.
