Chapter 63. The Man Who Paid Her Mother Bills
“Hi, Miss Hudson.”
When Estelle was lost in thought, a nurse greeted her.
Estelle stopped her steps and recognized the familiar nurse. Then she smiled and said hello to the nurse.
The nurse then said with an assuring smile, “Miss Hudson, don’t worry. Your mother has recovered well recently.”
“Thank you for taking good care of her,” Estelle said gratefully.
“Not at all. It is a pleasure,” The nurse quickly responded. Then she approached Estelle as she lowered her voice and said, “By the way, a few days ago, someone came to inquire about your condition. I hid your condition and just said you had an operation for appendicitis.”
Estelle’s heart jolted, anxiously asking, “Is it a man or a woman?”
“It was a man, and he was well-dressed. He said he was your distant relative and wanted to know about your condition. Since you told me to hide your condition from others, I didn’t tell him the truth. But I don’t know if he will check your medical record
