Chapter 59. Doubt

ERVIN’S POV

I felt an excruciating pain as his hands went through my chest. Breaking through my bones, ripping through my flesh, and gripping my heart.

My eyes grew wide as I stared up at him.

“No!” Stella screamed. From my peripheral view, I could see her trying to fight off Keisha but Keisha held her strong.

He had tears in his eyes as he watched me. He was trembling, fighting against himself. I could barely breathe as his hands gripped my heart. I was in pain but I knew I deserved it.

I stared down at his hands on my chest. I lifted my left hand, reaching up to rest my hands on the arm in my chest.

My right hand went on his shoulder as I looked into his eyes. “I hurt you, Charles. I did you bad. I did you dirty. I betrayed you. I broke your heart. I am sorry Charles. I regret my actions. And I will never fight you. If killing me would pacify your anger, get on with it because I deserve every one of the pain you give me.”
