Chapter 58. Congratulations

ERVIN’S POV

“I should have known better than to trust you witches. Evil creatures.” Cain spat. “Alexa should have been my lesson.”

I looked up at Charles. He stared at me.

Alexa was our aunt. My mum’s sister. We were young when she went missing. I didn’t know what he meant by his lesson. I did not even care to know.

“Shut the hell up and Bow to your alpha, Cain.” Hazel spat. “You have lost. How does it feel?”

I stifled a laugh. She did try to sound threatening but it was like a baby lion roaring. She sounded rather cute.

Cain burst out laughing again. “The pathetic murderer. The wolfless daughter of the Pirate King.” He spat with so much disgust that I could feel Hazel flinch in my arms.

I instinctively pushed her behind me and came up to him. “Speak one more word about me and I will send my hand into your chest, ripping your heart out.” I meant every single word.

He stared into my eyes challengingly and then burst out laughing.
