Chapter 136. Reunion

Two silhouettes lingered amid the darkness.

The moon was now covered with clouds, leaving nothing but sheer darkness between the two. Although they were alone outside, there were hundreds of pairs of ears listening attentively inside the heated hut—giving the two the so-called privacy on the surface.

Diana and Talia did not care. After all, there was no conspiracy between them, but brewing emotions accumulated for two lifetimes.

Diana’s head throbbed ever since she saw Talia’s toothy grin. Like a fog being dissipated in front of her, the veil slowly disappeared. The faceless ‘witch friend’ in Diana’s memory finally had a face.

It was Talia.

It was her all along.

“Why?” So many words left unsaid. No matter how much Diana wanted to express her swirling pit of emotions, she could only come up with one question: why?

Why tell her now?

Did she also forget about Diana?

Was she also a reborn person like her?

Why was she so late?
