But a bright red flame, brighter than the crimson fire, surged from his back, and the next thing Alpha Dylan realized—a blinding being roared as its flame clashed with the ball of black fire.

“Idiot! Go back now! Leave this to me and go!”

The familiar voice of the person who occupied his mind raced past him like a mirage. But the familiar wavy hair that swayed atop the unfamiliar griffin could not be mistaken.

The next thing that happened, Alpha Liam flew towards him—snapping him from his reverie. “Alpha Dylan, the barrier is almost done. We must retreat now to regroup.”

“I don’t know who is the one riding that enormous unfamiliar griffin, but I think it is a woman...” There was a hint of disbelief laced upon Alpha Liam’s tone.
