Chapter 64
Aria held her breath as she waited for Asher to respond. He had been silent since she spoke those words, and she was starting to get worried that he might turn down her request, which would be the end of everything she thought they were building.
She wouldn’t blame him anyway. If he had left her hanging dry like that, she would also have been reluctant to do anything else with him. It was merely a normal reaction.
“When?” Asher asked.
“Sorry, I didn’t get that?” Aria forced out, grateful that she wasn’t stuttering.
“You said you wanted to talk to me in my office, right?” Asher asked again.
“Yes, I said so. There’s something I need to address in private.”
“That’s fine by me. I was asking you when do you want to talk to me about it,”
“Can we do it now? If you’ve got nothing on your plate.”
“The last time I checked, you’re my secretary, Aria.” Asher chuckled as he shook his head. “You know my schedule better than I do.”
