Hephaestus POV

I walked back to the room where I had left Nat. I had locked the room so she wouldn't meet mother.

I opened the door meeting eyes with Nat who stood behind the door. She stared at me, not ready to look away. She wasn't just staring, she glared.

Did she notice I messed with the door?

"What took you so long?" She asked.

"I'm sorry, I kept you waiting,"

"Was that why you had the," She paused. She looked round before nodding slightly.

What was she thinking?

"Let's go eat," She said, stepping out of the room. I stood still watching her leave at first but I followed after.

We both walked to the kitchen. She got the things she needed while ignoring me. She had wanted to ask a question but she stopped herself.
