Chapter 87
Keith watched over Cassandra until she stopped talking, and she slowly became quiet, her breathing measured as she softly snored.
Keith checked his watch. She was going to be awake soon; her sleep never lasted more than a few minutes, and ever since she became sick, she was sleeping a lot more now that her body was shutting down at an alarming rate.
He couldn’t bring himself to tell her what he had been thinking of when she caught him muttering. He had been in an internal battle with himself over what decision he should make concerning Cassandra. She was becoming worse by the day, and his will to see life had eventually prevailed, and he decided to sneak into the underworld to visit his mother. In times like this, she was the only one who could give him clarity on whatever decision he wanted to take. There was no one else that he would discuss with.
