Chapter 189. Bismut and Og's Termination

Aamon and Ingo moved cautiously through the corridor, hiding in small alcoves near doorways whenever they heard footsteps approaching. 

As they searched for the data center, as Red had suspected, many of Troy's robots patrolled the area. 

Their progress was often interrupted, and they were repeatedly forced to hide. They were trapped in a dark room this time because too many Troys had gathered at the crossroads ahead.

"We're running out of time," Aamon muttered.

Ingo looked around the room, which was filled with cables and old equipment, and noticed an air vent large enough for an adult to crawl through. 

"What about the ventilation system? We could try to go through it," she suggested.

The idea hadn't occurred to Aamon, but he nodded. "Alright, let's try the vent, Ingo."

Ingo easily removed the vent cover and crawled in first. Minutes later, they were both crawling along the narrow, winding vent with no clear end in sight.
