Chapter 29. When Rain Pours
Kyra gasped in shock as she saw Aamon coming with one of the Assassins, dragging a metal plate. They set up a wooden support and placed the iron to shade Red, who was still unconscious. The rain began to fall, and the other Assassins went elsewhere. Probably looking for shelter.
The assassin who had helped Aamon left in a hurry. His body slid into a tree and disappeared into the night.
"Are you going to leave us here?" asked Kyra, holding Aamon's arm.
"I'll be close by, don't worry."
"Aamon, the girl needs a safe place. You think this piece of metal is harmless? What if it falls and hits her?"
Aamon's index finger pointed at Ursula. "The robot will react if anything dangerous threatens Red."
Kyra shook her head firmly. "Red's robot doesn't move an inch! It's just a useless hunk of metal when Red is unconscious. If it could react, it would have brought Red to Ingo, since the girl was badly injured."
