Chapter 39. Intruders
••• Aleena’s POV •••
I woke up with a gasp.
“Aleena?” I heard Celia’s concerned, sleepy voice in my head.
“I’m okay, Celia. Just some bad dreams,” I told her.
“Are you sure, Aleena?” she asked worriedly.
“Yeah...” I answered her.
“But you are trembling,” she pointed out with concern.
Am I? I looked at my hands, and they were indeed trembling, as did my body. Not only that but I was also covered in sweat.
I took my phone from the bedside table to check the time. It was only 2 am.
“Aleena, what kind of dream did you have to leave you trembling this badly?” she asked.
“I can't really remember,” I half-lied. “Don't worry about it. Just go back to sleep, Celia,” I told her.
“Are you sure, Aleena? I can accompany you,” she said. I was glad to have a wolf. Before Celia appeared, I had no one to talk to except Greg. But Greg was a man, and there were things I couldn't talk to him about. Now I have Celia, to whom I can talk ab
