Chapter 8

Participating in a couple's contest was the last thing she wanted to do on the weekend afternoon. Yet, they're standing on the stage with other couples.

There were a lot of people cheering for them, so it wasn't like she had a choice either way.

But she was annoyed.

She doesn't have time for this stuff anymore. It’s just not her cup of tea. She would rather be home in bed, relaxing and eating popcorn while watching reruns on Setflix.

"Forgive me. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for me."

"It's okay."

Chris announced that there were four events in the contest. There was no elimination, but there was a scoring system based on their performance.

For the first event, the couples had to finish eating an apple on a string for half an hour. Their hands were tied together while doing it.

"What a stupid game," Alice said with disdain, crossing her arms over her chest.

Soon, the first game started. It was hard for everyone to bite the app
