Days pass in a blur of activity. Every one is exactly the same and just different enough to drive me crazy. I wake up reliably with the sunrise, something I’ve never done before in my life. My steward, Frazier, is shocked the first time he comes in to wake me up and I’m already half-dressed with a few pieces of dried meat dangling from my lips.

I have too much to do to lie around in bed all day.

Kieran happily sets aside an office on the same hall as his for me to work out of, and I usually arrive there before most of the castle finishes breakfast. With a mind-link to the team still chasing the assassin, my day begins.

I take a map of the forest surrounding the castle from the library and begin marking the paths different coalitions took.
