Chapter 196. You’re Home

It all happened so fast and slow at the same time. It was like everything was in slow motion as the car spun in the air.

Before I could blink again, we landed and my body hit metal hard. A loud ringing attacked my ears and pain shot through my body. 

My eyes were closed and for a minute, I could not even move. But then they fluttered open and I was in a weird position.

I started to cough and the pain in my body got worse. Before I knew it, I felt someone’s arms on me, pulling me out from the wreckage.

“What the f*ck is wrong with you?” The voice was familiar but that did not make me feel safe or relieved.

It was Josh and he seemed perfectly fine. He may have used his super speed to escape before he could get hurt. 

But as for me, I did not know much about being a vampire yet. Sh*t. This only made things worse for me.

He lifted me and placed me over his shoulders, my body hurting even more. I wanted to speak but I could not.
