Chapter 48. Her Downfall

“We’re going back, young madam. It’s already seven in the evening.” Red suggested with the gray puppy in his arms. He’s wearing a simple gray shirt paired with black pants. His handsomeness couldn’t be ignored, but Thea’s mind was flying away from her.

After what happened this afternoon, she didn’t see Ace again. He left without saying goodbye, he left without his proper words. Silly her! Why would Ace bid his goodbyes for her? They’re only business partners? If they call it that way.

“ARF! ARF!” The puppy barked and snapped her back to reality. She stared at the cute little one and decided to take it, Red obediently gave it to her. She stroked his fur and tickled it that made it wiggle his tail. Somehow, it calmed her mind and she nodded before walking towards the yacht.

“Careful…” Red reminded and guided her to get on safely. It was actually just six when they arrived in the port after riding a car for an hour and passing those two gigantic walls. There are so ma
