Chapter 6

"Mr. Mayer?"

He stared at his phone. Kim had not replied to his message, and it was past five in the evening.

"What the hell is she doing?" he whispered.

"Mr. Mayer?" The voice called again.

He looks up from his phone. "Oh, where were we?" he asks.

"Don't you like the project idea?"

Miran looked around. Everyone in the meeting had been staring at him.

"Is something wrong?" Tony asked.

"No, carry on," he stared back at his phone, a little restless.

"Sir, I have— I'm done explaining the project," She gulped.

"Oh, well... if that's all we can leave, I guess?" He says, smiling.

"Mr. Mayer?" Tony called. Everyone stared at him.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" He says, looking at Tony.

"You haven't given your thoughts on it yet."

"I can do that later. Send the files to me. I'll see if it's worth approving. Thank you for your time."
