“What was that about?” Pearl asked as soon as we got out of the cafe.
I shook my head and clutched at my coffee. I didn’t even know which type of coffee it was. But I already knew I was not going to drink it. Parker had surely made it or had had it made. I definitely didn’t want to die today.
Okay. Maybe that was an exaggeration. But I didn’t trust him one bit. And I felt like he was the type of person to take his revenge. He looked so vindictive.
