I stared at Harry as he was driving. I didn’t know where we were going. Any attempt at asking had been shushed. Apparently, that was part of my punishment.
I reflected on what had happened. And I had a good enough justification. I knew Harry didn’t want me around Parker, not after what happened, but I had no choice.
No, that was going to be silly. He was going to tell me how I should have called him. And damn right, I should have. Now I was left asking myself what exactly he had in mind.
I was scared. But I was excited. Where was he taking me? I knew it was somewhere formal. After all, he was wearing a suit, and I was in an evening gown. But where exactly, I didn’t know.
