Chapter 100. Ambiguity

Anna sat across from Ricard at the dinner table, her eyes gleaming with admiration. Every time Ricard looked at her, Anna felt as if she were lost in a romantic novel. Ricard picked up a piece of salmon and gently placed it in Anna’s bowl, his lips curving into a slight smile. Every gesture of his exuded calmness and thoughtfulness, making it impossible for Anna to look away.

“Ricard, you’re an amazing cook,” Anna whispered, her voice full of sweetness. “I never thought a busy man like you could cook so well.”

Ricard only smiled, his eyes soft with tenderness. “I just did the simplest things,” he replied modestly. “As long as you like it.”

Anna nodded, but she knew it was more than that. Every dish on the table had been meticulously prepared, from the flavors to the presentation. Ricard was not just a successful businessman; he was someone who knew how to care for and look after those around him. This made Anna feel incredibly fortunate to have him.
