Two weeks had passed since the wedding that almost wasn’t stopped in time, and still, every morning, I woke up with the same instinct… to check that Dahlia was beside me, breathing, real, free.
Yeah, there had been no day in the last two weeks that she had slept somewhere else, other than on my bed.
