Chapter 12. Amara
“Thanks, Grandpa,” Sav says goodbye to Grandpa Tacio. Grandpa turned to me. I smiled while holding my shoulder bag.
“Thanks, grandpa. Uhh, we’ll visit again.” I saw Sav look at me, so I averted my eyes.
“I’m glad. I’m sorry our house is small—”
I shook. “That’s okay,” I cut immediately. I turned around first when I saw Sav approach Grandpa and say something. We had purchased before leaving. We brought the needs of Grandfather and his daughter and grandson.
From last night I didn’t know what to say to Sav. My eyes widened as I looked in the mirror inside the car. It’s all a mania. It was as if the cold water had poured me out of the realization all over. He is my uncle. I am his niece. We fucked! Damn it!
