Chapter 46

Rowlis stared at Davis, trying hard to come up with ways to solve the puzzle presented before her. How would she destroy the demon without hurting Davis?

“If I hit you, you grow stronger, right?” Rowlis asked. 

“That's correct,” the demon in Davis answered.

“So that means Davis doesn't actually get hurt until I end his life,” Rowlis said, still staring at Davis with a curious expression on her face.

“Well… yeah. Where are you going with this?" Davis asked, sounding a little confused.

Rowlis moved her legs apart and tightened her fist. The markings on her face lit up again, and sparks started to fly around her.

“What are you?" Davis was about to ask when suddenly Rowlis launched at him at high speed. She sent her right fist at Davis's face, but he immediately crossed his hands in front of him to block the punch.

The ground underneath cracked even more, and Davis was sent flying back. He stuck his fingers into the ground and finally stopp
