Chapter 46

MELISSA

I want to stay in bed all day and eat chocolate, but I have to get on with my life.

"Are you all right?" Maggie asks me, and I nod this time.

"I'm feeling a lot of cramps, it's certainly one of my worst mornings," I mumble, and she smiles slightly. Maggie goes to her therapist's office while I make my way to the university. I control my urge to go home as I keep feeling the cramps building up inside me, and it makes me angry.

After entering the university gates, I see Angelo coming towards me with a smile. I try to smile too, but I can't because of the pain.

"Good morning, how are you?" He comes up to me and kisses my cheek, at which point I smell Angelo's perfume.

In the days since I started studying at this place, Angelo has told me that he is the son of an Italian chef who also came alone to the United States to study business administration so that in the future he could help run the restaurants his family owns in Italy. He's very nice
