Chapter 35. Emptiness

She found it difficult to spill what she had in mind.
"I will say it as soon as we are home together, alone."
I rolled my eyes to the front of the car where Stanley sat, steering the wheel.
"Alright, but I hope it will be something positive."
She nodded. Jasmine was a really beautiful young lady who deserved better.
I loved her from the first day. It wouldn't be bad if she could carry my grandchild. I would love and nurture both of them together.
"Mrs. Laura?" She called me after I got seated. "A drink or anything else?"
"I'm good, I do not have the appetite."
She had changed into a pretty gown.
"About what I wanted to say, Mrs. Laura, I'm so much afraid of your son." She started.
"Why is that?"
"That is because I have a little fear of overly handsome men like him. I once dated someone...,"
