Chapter 66

For a couple of days, Caden Lockwood was busy with some important matters so he didn’t bother her and Sebastian. She was free to roam around the property with her boyfriend.

But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, at least according to the older generation. They were having a great time at the pool when Caden suddenly came and summoned them to his study.

"Do you think he's going to be mad at us?" she asked Sebastian but he simply shrugged his shoulders in response.

“Don’t overthink about it, Scarlet, but I hope that he wouldn’t do anything stupid,” he issued a warning.

“Such as what?” she asked innocently.

“Such as forcing me to marry you,” he stated.

“What’s so bad about marrying me, Sebastian? We enjoyed each other’s company,” she explained, however, deep down, his words insulted her and wounded her pride as well. “Anyway, don’t worry about it because I also don’t think it is a good idea to marry you,” she retorted out of anger.
