Chapter 13

I woke up early because my body was used to that time during school hours. At six o’clock my eyes were awake but I did not get up. I was just stunned at the window covered by a thick and red curtain. Because of that it seemed dark inside my room even though the sun was shining outside.

I don’t know if it will be midnight, or really midnight that I slept last night because I was restless. After Luke’s answer to me, I stopped talking and turned my back on him.

I approached the sleeping mother Ida and tried to get her to sleep so that she would be comfortable here on the sofa. He told me that he would sleep here so that Luke could use the room. That was another one of our long arguments but in the end I did nothing either.

Luke soon went inside. When he saw that I was having a hard time getting along with my mother, he approached me.
