“Gun, you’re okay!” Zayla gingerly stood up and wiped the already-dry tears off her cheeks. “You’re okay?” She realized and asked, her eyes scanning the beta from head to toe.

Why was he unscathed compared to his pack members and comrades? What was he doing here? And why was he staring down at her like how he used to? It was a stare she thought that she no longer would see as she was confident that the beta was starting to get comfortable with her, although still a little distant, perhaps because of his principle that he’s a beta and she’s the Luna of the pack.
