Chapter 121
I swallowed the question. My throat was dry, and, oddly, my nerves, which had entirely dissipated for a while, returned with full force. My hands felt clammy as I looked up at Aiden, skin lamenting with goosebumps. I couldn't help but think back to the time that intensified my fear and brought us to this stage.
"Umm....when I asked you about pups, you sounded so against the idea that it terrified me, Aiden." My eyes fixed on the plush carpet on the floor, watching the patterns on them. I couldn't quite bring myself to say this straight to his face. Despite everything we have shared, it's too much.
