Karen's POV:

"You will need this," one of them said, pushing a plate of food toward me.

"I don't need it. I am not hungry," I retorted.

"You will need it. Only a matter of time before you find out," He replied.

"And the boss ain't here so you be careful how you talk to me," he added.

"Now, ea,t" he ordered and I picked up the food gently. Afraid he might change his mind, I began eating.

"Has she said anything since I left?" He inquired as he walked in.

"Nothing yet, boss. She ain't said nothing," another replied.

"And she ate my food?" He queried.

"She did. All of it."

"Well, I am going to get my answers one way or the other," he promised.

"Get me my tools," he ordered and someone went into a room and brought out a bag, or rather, a work kit.
