“But why did I find Eun?” Heyon asked.

“Maybe NamHu already knew things that I still didn’t. But he had a plan, and he used you for it. Eun was handed over to Saejin a few years ago, with the request that he become a mere vampire just for the sake of eternity. We wizards are born like any other living being, but when we reach a certain age, we stop aging. I’m not immortal, there are secret things that can kill me, but technically, if none of them happen, I live for a long time.”

“So…” Heyon seems to take it all in stride, even if his head is about to explode. “I was destined to seek Eun?”

“Yes. I’m sorry about that, I had no idea.”

“It’s okay, at least I brought it.” A small, still sad smile covered Lim’s plump lips. “But does that mean you’re not twenty-one?”

Seok was amused at the way Heyon became so surprised again. Even though he had fiery hair, bared fangs, and red eyes, Lim still looked like the same person he always loved and wanted to protect.
