Tangled Hearts: Chapter 14

“Chris,” Charlotte rushed to him and hugged his arm, “you came early, I was thinking I would be done with this before you would show up,” she smiled at him. “Don’t worry, it’s just a little problem but it’s nothing I can’t handle.”

Isabella watched as the woman hugged on to Chris and spoke so lovingly to him. Her earlier words flashed in her mind ‘how do you expect me to meet my boyfriend like this?’

Chris has a girlfriend? She wondered, she doesn’t know why but her body went weak and she became so weak that she felt like she couldn’t lift her hands. He has a girlfriend, how come Sapphire never told me? Shouldn’t she be the first to know? How long have they been dating? She was so lost in thought that she didn’t know Chris was speaking to her until she felt someone touch her.

“Are you okay?” Chris repeated, worry clearly written in his crystal blue eyes.
