Blowing Hot
“But you heard him right. He is not in love with Kate,” said Mrs. Coleman to her husband.
Brian had left the house for a walk on the street, leaving his parents to bicker over the whole issue.
“Can you hear yourself?” replied Mr. Coleman, “How can you bathe a girl without nursing feelings for her? Bathing is involved here – scrubbing her breasts, buttocks, and all that like a lactating mother does to her baby.”
“Responsibility speaks here. We raised our son to lend helping hands to others, treat people nicely, and run to their rescue. If he washed Kate that night and he was accused of stealing, that shouldn’t prompt us to judge and spite him,” Mrs. Coleman said, shaking her head each time and pacing up and down the room.
“You just said now we raised our son to be good at bathing the girls, but trust me, if Kate were to take a bullet from a shooter that night, Brian would have taken her place.”
She rolled her eyes contentiously at him,
