Ken squatted to Blueeyes once he noticed the kid was playing with his dinner. He had tried to fix two plates of flakes for himself and Blueeyes and even after he was done eating his, Blueeyes was yet to munch down a spoonful. The night was very cold, so Ken tucked away at the fireplace to get warmth, obviously taking caution not to smoke in the presence of his child. He wanted to give him the best of home training.
Blueeyes kept digging into his bowl, blinking at his father with the corner of his eyes and a long face that might not earn a smile in the nearest future if he didn’t see his mother.
Ken checked up his phone to see if Jacy had not replied to his messages since she vehemently declined his call. When he noticed there was none, he stole a glance at Blueeyes to see his face had gone crimson, and he had finally abandoned his meal, and folded his arm before the food, as though he was waiting for answers from the flakes.
