The Fear of Tony

Mary drove home, maneuvering her way through traffic and screeching through the tar road. As soon as she drove into her compound, her eyes darted and combed around for any sign of an intruder. Everywhere looked ghostly and calm. She kept glancing around as she walked gently before her gaze came upon the window pane of Eva ‘s bedroom ;it was scarcely lit with lanterns and she suspected the reason to be the presence of Tony who could be tormenting her now. An idea jumped into her mind to dial 911 just for their safety. But she fought off and made up her mind to go upstairs and check upon Eva first.

Once she entered the sitting room, everything was in order ;tranquility hung across the room and there was no sign of everywhere being rendered unkempt as a result of Tony chasing Eva around and threatening to harm her. Quickly he made upstairs, into Eva’s room, yanked the door open and saw the calmness and peace that hung around except for her bed and wardrobe
