Chapter 6
"Come on, Rhye. I have been feeling them for a week. Finally got a good taste. I’ll find them if we go… somewhere. Where to go, where to go… '' Joseph mumbled to himself from where he’d been pacing the length of their loft for the last five minutes.
Rhye’s only response was to lift his glass and study the light playing off the amber-coloured alcohol. It always reminded him of home, of the brightest sun and warm summer days.
Unfortunately, it also reminded him of gilded cages and the responsibilities from which he’d spent the last few years running. But he doesn't have a choice now. His pack needed an alpha and Joseph? He couldn't count on him. He never liked the pack business.
He tipped the glass to his lips and took a healthy sip, enjoying the vague burn that trickled down his throat as he tried
