Chapter 18. Maybe He Isn’t So Bad After All

Bree’s POV

“Since we are trying to be civil with each other, let’s play ten questions, five for me and five for you.” Hayden suggested.

“Sure, that doesn’t sound like a bad idea.” I say, putting the last sandwich in my mouth, then stretching my hands to take a few fries off Hayden’s plate.

“Okay then, favorite color.”

“Blue.” I smiled, thinking of the best color ever.

“Aren’t you full of surprises? I thought girls liked pink.” I let out a snort. Hayden pushed the plate of fries in my direction since I had eaten most of them.

I gave him a sheepish smile, and he playfully rolled his eyes. “I’m not most girls.” I sass playfully, making him smile. “My turn. What is your favorite animal?”

“The lion” He wasted no time replying; I tilted my head in a way that told him to continue. “The lion have always and always been the king of the jungle,” he stated in a matter-of-fact tone.
