Time passed by excruciatingly slowly.

I lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Another day, another confinement. It had been less than a week since the confinement began but it felt like forever.

Once I felt like a prisoner in the walls of my home. Never did I think I would ever be put in this kind of situation.

My room was constantly under lock, leaving me unable to go anywhere. True to his words, his guards stood watch outside my every entrance, day and night.

Every door led to a dead end, literally. The windows were barred, and the doors were guarded. I was trapped.

The only times that different maids came in to bring me food and necessities. And even then there was no chance of escape. Their entrance was silent and they ignored every plea I said, no doubt instructed to do so for the same reason why they were changed so frequently.
