Of all the ways I thought I'd spend my evening; none came even close to what actually happened. I never considered for a minute that I would encounter this redhead, who seemed to be a magnet for trouble, in the middle of the rain, alone and completely soaked. My chest still ached when I recalled the image. How did she manage to look so beautiful even when drenched? I would never know. We had met by pure chance, at least from my perspective. Would she ever stop getting into trouble? I doubted it.
After dinner, my brothers and I decided to go for a walk around the city. None of the three of us had plans for the rest of the day, so we visited some cultural centers and, at my request, ended up at the opera. I was aware of how much the Pascualli brothers were bored with such an activity, but I'm one of the best lawyers for a reason. I'm not used to receiving a "no" as an answer.
