Chapter 15. Decision
Third-Person POV
When Maria spots her father in the conference room, her panic fades a bit. He will fix this, like he fixes everything else. Sure, she had insulted him back at the training grounds, but she did that all the time.
He was used to it, and besides, she had figured out his little secret. This was how she could always get her way with him. He knew she would tattle in an instant if he ever disobeyed what she wanted, and right now, that was her freedom.
She had a mutt “Luna” to dethrone, and witches to see about getting another wolf. Kiera was weak anyway, so she didn’t want her. She wanted a wolf like Abby’s, and if she had to steal Abby’s wolf to get her way—then so be it.
“Daddy. Get them to let me go.” Maria tries to yell at her dad, but nothing comes out. She is confused until her eyes fall on the smirking irksome she-wolf. Her eyes shoots dagger. She knows her father can make Jason change his decision if she could only get a sound out.
