Chapter 77. Round Two – Levitating

Amber’s POV

The crowd cheers, but Josephine sneers.

“You got lucky with that last question bitch.” She says before storming out of the circle for the break Chase demanded. I shake my head, walking to my own end. I sit down, my feet killing me after having to stand on one spot for so long. The break is half an hour, long enough for us both to do what we have to before the next task. I get up to go to the bathroom, and when I get back someone has been there with some of my favorite snacks and drinks.

I sit down again, reaching down to have some of the snacks. They are delicious, and I’m really grateful for Chase to order these breaks in between. I will never admit that to him, mostly because I’m too proud to ever do that, but right here and now I am forever grateful for his overprotectiveness. I miss having him, Blaze and the girls at my side, but that is not allowed even though we are out of the sacred circle.
