“They can’t come now. They are not ready. I’m not ready! Doctor tell me they are not coming now!” I scream as Chase and Blaze help me into a hospital gown and on the bed. The contractions have only intensified over the course of the last few hours. I managed to speak, however briefly, in church, but then everyone insisted on getting me to bed. I agreed, but kept saying I properly just peed myself. It would be embarrassing, but I am not ready for these two to enter the world just yet. They have not finished baking.

“Your Grace, you are 4 cm dilated, and this is happening. It is not uncommon for multiples to come early, as I have already told you and you have already kept them there for four months.” He looks me in the eyes. “A normal single pregnancy is already short as it is for both dragons and werewolves, and you have almost kept them to term—you are only short of a month out.
