Chapter 88. The Innkeeper and His Brother

Amber’s POV

After the bath, I take Alma back into the inn room, leading her to the table where Chase, Blaze and the girls are sitting with Tristan and Haldon. Haldon is Tristan’s right hand, and he’s a good man. Alma eyes the guys nervously, and I smile kindly at her.

“No one is going to hurt you. Alma. I promise they are all good men!” She nods, but doesn’t look completely convinced. The girls give Alma a big smile, before digging into their meal again, clearly pleased with being indoors and eating freshly made food. I look around.
