Chapter 65. The Wildflower Field
Maze’s POV
The darkness is no comfort. It hurts like a bitch, and I thought it was supposed to take the pain away when you pass out—which I did almost immediately after getting stabbed. Did not see that coming at all.
“We need to get the poison out before trying to get the wound closed.” Someone says far away from where I am at the moment. It feels like a lifetime ago I was stabbed already, but I somehow know it is not. I also know I am not alone in the darkness. Havoc is just within reach, but we do not do the whole sobstory thing. We are going to get better and get back.
“It just keeps coming. We can’t… His heart won’t survive…” Another voice says. I know it’s the doctors trying to save me. I think of Kiara. If I don’t survive this she is going to be so pissed.
