Chapter 98. In Danger

Third-Person POV

He moves away, and she runs to the wolves laying on the ground. Their wounds are deep, and one laid over the other, as if he was trying to protect the other wolf. Seconds later they shift back, and Willow gasp. Ornata and Greyson are lying dead before her, and she knows it too late. She can’t do anything to save them. Tears stream down her cheeks.

“I’m so sorry, Matt, Blade. I can’t get them back. Their souls are gone, they are… I’m so, so, sorry!” She chokes the words out while she is trying to get it together. She hates that she can’t bring everyone back, but that’s the fact of the matter.

Blade, taking in the sobbing girl, rubs his snout along her arm. He howls again, this time he gets an answer from everyone around him. Even the other Alphas.

Willow looks at the bracelet she’s gotten from Jax.

“If you ever need me, whisper my name to this and I will be at your side in an instant.” He had told her. She is about to do just that
