Chapter 5. Her Scent

Unknown POV

I have been searching for years now. Ever since I smelled her in the forest surrounding the Blue Mist Pack, I’ve been looking. Her smell was intriguing and alluring on a level I never thought possible. As soon as I thought I would find her, her scent disappeared. My inner beast didn’t like it at all, and has been pestering me ever since to find her.

Every time I thought I was getting closer to her, she disappeared from my radar again—as if someone from the outside sensed my presence and blocked her from me. One time I managed to get a glimpse of her, but then in a blink of an eye she was gone. What was this magic?

I was beyond frustrated, when I by accident ended up in a cave near the border close to the underworld. There I overheard two of the border guards discuss the upcoming birthday of the twins of the Queen of Magic folk and werewolves. I didn’t pay that much attention before one of the guards started talking about the princess in detail. T
