Aria POV

”Jason, let her speak. What if she is telling the truth?” My mother spoke for the first time, the longing in her eyes apparent.

“Gloria, what if…” my father said but my mother stopped him.

“I feel so close to her for no reason, Jason. And her name… Her name was our first choice if we ever had a daughter, remember?”

The anticipation in my mother’s eyes brought tears to my eyes. She had longed so much for a child of her own that she was ready to believe anything I said.

“I know that this sounds unreal, but it’s the truth. I was your only child and I was engaged to Daniel. But things happened and we never got the chance to live together,’ I said, biting my lips, unable to hurt them with the cruel truth.

“It doesn’t seem real to me, Aria. You are
