That evening, their walk home was in complete silence. 

This isn’t uncommon especially for the past weeks since Serena announced that she would be joining the run. 

The alphas were both left to dwell in their own chaos called their minds. 

Neither of them could utter a single word as they took slow and shaky steps back to their own houses.

It was until they walked past their tree did the silence finally crack.
